Today is Wacky hair day. I had really wacky hair. I had a hair tie on the top of my head. Then I had a big puffy bun which has pipe cleaners sticking out of it and sparkles on it too.

My hair is wacky alright. It has six bunches which are coloured red, blue and yellow. We are collecting money to but some i-pads.
We celebrated Matariki last week. We ran down the hill with our kites and Mrs T took a picture. Some of us came to school early on Friday to have our breakfast together.
We used a plastic cup, a string and a sponge. Then we put water in the cup and we got the sponge. Next we put the sponge on the string and pulled it up. Then it mad a noise. The noise sounds like 'cockadoodledoo'. It hurts my head.
This week we celebrated Matariki, the maori new year. We all made a kite and I came to school early today to have breakfast with my aunty and my friends.
We did an experiment to see how sound waves work. I had to hit the balls hard with a box. It made energy. The balls hit each other and travelled along the floor.
We want to know do you hear sounds as soon they are made. We put flour in the balloon. Then we popped it and the rest of the class stood a long way off. They saw the flour come out before they heard the pop. That proves that you don't always hear sounds straight away. by Alice and Ben
We are learning how to do science about sound. We put a nut in the balloon and blew it up. We shook it round and round and the nut made some vibrations inside. It sounded like a buzzing bee.
